Lactation Stations

UW WorkLife provides equipment and spaces to new mothers who are breast feeding their babies and need a quiet space to pump their milk. UW Tower has four “Mother’s Rooms” available on our Lobby level for new mothers who work at UW Tower and two drop-in locations for mothers visiting UW Tower.

Rooms available to UW Tower residents only:

One of these rooms is equipped with a pump and all four have refrigerators available. These rooms are also keyed and mothers are scheduled in the rooms to allow the smoothest transition between users. Please contact uwtower@uw.edu to discover if we have a room available.

Ammenities include:

  • Refrigerator
  • Comfy chair
  • Powerstrip
  • Floor lamp
  • Clock
  • Fan
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Sanitation Spray
  • Tissues
  • Paper Towels
  • Access to a sink

Please Note: Before making a request, please fill out the UW Tower Lactation Station Agreement form.

See UW Human Resources Lactation Stations for other lactation sites on campus.

Drop-in locations for mothers visiting UW Tower:

UW Tower provides a location for any mother visiting UW Tower who may need to pump milk during her visit.  These private, curtained off areas come with access to power and nearby sinks.  They are located on a public floor and do not require a key or reservation to use.  To find the drop-in location:

  • On the Lobby Level take a left at the Skybridge Security Desk.
  • Follow the hallway down past the C-02 Plaza North & South Conference Rooms.
  • At the end of the hall, you will see a drinking fountain.
  • The drop-in locations are in the lounge area of the ladies room to the left of the fountain.

If you would like a copy of the map to this location, please request one by emailing uwtower@uw.edu.
