UW Facilities staff work closely with campus partners and customers across a wide range of areas. The following advisory and oversight committees include representatives of faculty, staff and in some cases, students and members of the public:

UW Advisory Committee on Real Estate (ACRE): Advises the Board of Regents on matters relating to the management of the University’s commercial income-producing properties and other significant real estate investments.

UW Architectural Commission (UWAC): Advises University leadership on matters concerning the design, function, performance and environmental integrity of the university’s buildings, landscapes, infrastructure and urban amenities. Meets 5-6 times a year.

Capital Planning Advisory Team (CPAT): Advises and represents the President and Provost on decisions related to capital planning and space management. Meets monthly. 

City/University Community Advisory Committee (CUCAC): Representatives of neighboring communities and the University advise on the development of the greater University area. Meets a few times a year.

Design Review Board (DRB): Evaluates plans and designs for projects with budgets less than $5 million that have temporary or permanent impacts on the campus setting. Meets every two weeks as needed.

Environmental Stewardship Committee (ESC): Provides recommendations for University environmental policies and oversees progress on the UW Climate Action Plan. Meets quarterly.

Faculty Council on Campus Planning and Stewardship (FCCPS): Standing committee appointed by the Faculty Senate and responsible for policy relative to university facilities and services. Meets once a month when classes are in session. 

Grounds Improvement Advisory Committee (GIAC): Provides oversight of all exterior operational impacts relative to construction projects, signage, parking, pedestrian and vehicle traffic, and any other improvements to campus grounds. Meets monthly.

UW Landscape Advisory Committee (ULAC): Advises UWAC and Facilities leadership on design and planning in relation to the outdoor environment. Meets 5-6 times a year.

SEPA Advisory Committee: Monitors work conducted in connection with the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA). Meets monthly.

Universal Student U-PASS Advisory Board: Student-run oversight committee for the Universal Student U-PASS program. Meets monthly except during the summer.

University Transportation Committee (UTC): Advises the University administration regarding all transportation used for commuting and University business. Includes student, faculty and staff representatives as well as operational stakeholders. Meets monthly.

Use of University Facilities (UUF): Reviews and approves requests by non-university groups to hold functions at a UW facility. Includes operational stakeholders as well as student representatives.
