UW Recycling does not accept Styrofoam from off campus. If you are looking for local resources to dispose of Styrofoam, please consult King County Solid Waste Division’s What do I do with…? tool and Seattle Public Utilities’ Special Item Collections.

UW Recycling provides bags for Styrofoam recycling – a self-service program on campus. For large volumes, we offer two different types of clear bags:

  • One for Styrofoam blocks: 56”x60”
  • One for packing peanuts: 25”x11”x72”

Review the Styrofoam recycling guide to see what is accepted and how to use the bags.
