Project Description: The B-Wing at UWMC NW contains several vital hospital services including Operating Rooms, and Pre and Post Operatory support spaces, Endoscopy and Pharmacy. The building consists of a single-story wood frame and masonry structure of approximately 35,000 SF constructed in the late 1960’s and has undergone a series of programmatic renovations over the years. This equipment, ductwork, piping, etc. serve as major complicating factors in attempting maintenance, repairs, and replacement of the roof when necessary. The scope of the project is to replace the existing roof while fully maintaining the critical MEP equipment required to maintain critical functioning in the B-Wing. Serviceable conditions for maintenance and repair without significant shutdowns in the future.
The project is 10.2 million. The target budget for all work to be provided under the design-build contract is $8,265,000 million.
