UW Recycling provides recycling, compost and garbage bins for special events on campus, except at select locations (see below). Delivery, service and removal of containers take place during UW Recycling’s operational hours of 5 a.m. – 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.
UW Recycling will work with you to determine the type and number of containers needed for your event.

Cost
Rates are the same for UW affiliates and public customers. This includes hourly labor costs (NetID login required) for delivery, service, removal and disposal. To clarify, that means you’re charged for how long it takes UW Recycling staff to complete the work; the charges are not impacted by the hours our containers are at your event.
There is an additional weekend custodial service charge of $62 for events occurring between Friday afternoon and Sunday evening.
An estimate of total charges can be provided upon request. The accepted forms of payment are UW Worktags or check. Credit card payment is not accepted.

NetID is required to track requests or view invoices.
Invoices can be searched by driver worktag, billing month or invoice number. All charges are processed the month after service is completed. UW Recycling invoice numbers are in the memo field of every transaction from UW Recycling in Workday. For help accessing the report, contact recycle@uw.edu.
