Access real-time utility and energy data from across the UW campus. Use time-series sensor data from utility meters and building automation systems (BAS) for coursework, research and analysis.
With the AVEVA PI Academic Server, UW researchers, faculty and students will be able to:
- Explore urban-scale utility and energy data collected from sensors across the Seattle campus.
- Visualize live and historical data using PI Vision's web-based dashboards.
- Pull time-series data directly into Excel using the PI DataLink plugin.
- Connect custom sensors to support your own research questions (departmental funding required).
- Use campus infrastructure as a hands-on dataset for teaching, capstones and thesis work.
How to get access
Access to the AVEVA PI Academic Server is available to UW employees and students only. Students, faculty and staff must request access through their department, school or college. UW Facilities and the academic unit will then establish an MOU defining roles and responsibilities for their use of the data.
