UW Facilities manages more than 15 million square feet of owned space on the Seattle Campus and more than 2 million square feet of leased space, primarily in the greater Seattle area.

You can request changes to or renew your current space assignment or request new space assignments, including leased space. New requests should be approved by the requesting department’s leadership prior to the request being submitted.
Requests may only be submitted by administrators with an authorized account. Accounts may be requested by contacting the Customer Care Team at careteam@uw.edu.

UW Real Estate (UWRE) is responsible for all aspects of leasing off-campus space for University departments including finding, negotiating, drafting, legal, signing, managing tenant improvements, administration, payments and recharging departments.
UWRE continues supporting UW departments in leased space after the lease is signed and the space is occupied. UWRE pays rent to landlords and then charges the appropriate UW department. For lease renewals, options and move outs, UWRE will send a reminder email with instructions prior to the expiration date.
