Bids will be received by the University of Washington through Workday Strategic Sourcing at the above mentioned time and place.

Project Description: The project consists of the interior renovation of two existing NORA procedure rooms totaling approximately 620 square feet on Level Three of the existing Surgery Pavilion of the University of Washington Medical Center, Montlake campus. The work is intended to support the upgrade of existing procedural room booms and associated infrastructure.

The Contractor shall remove and dispose the existing procedure booms. The Owner’s equipment vendor will supply and install the new booms and the patient lifts. The Contractor shall provide all renovations and associated work necessary to accommodate, support, and integrate the new equipment in accordance with the vendor installation requirements, project specifications, and design documents. The Contractor shall coordinate all equipment installation activities with the Owner’s vendor and shall provide on-site support during these operations.

This will be a single-phase project. Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) procedures shall be implemented and maintained for the duration of construction activities.

Renovations include selective demolition of existing fixed procedure booms, lighting fixtures, sprinkler heads, casework, and architectural finishes. New work includes construction of structural support for new fixed procedure booms and patient lifts; installation of new lighting, wall clocks and sprinkler heads; HVAC upgrades; medical gas services; architectural finishes; and additional associated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work. The electrical scope includes above-ceiling work on Level Two as required to support the renovated spaces.

The HVAC scope includes renovation of third-floor systems serving procedure rooms SP3042 and SP3044, including ductwork, diffusers, air handler units, and all associated appurtenances. All new HVAC systems shall be fully integrated into the existing Building Management System (BMS).

The A/V scope includes room status camera and monitor system upgrade in rooms per drawing set. The scope also includes installation of A/V equipment in the equipment rack and installation of a new wall-mounted fan coil unit in Data/Communications Room SP3200E.

Pre-Bid Site Meeting: The Project site is available for inspection by prospective bidders at a pre-bid site meeting and walk-through. All prospective bidders must attend one of the following meetings:

1.     6:45 AM to 7:45 AM on May 13, 2026, at UW Medical Center, 1959 NE Pacific Street, Seattle WA 98195, AA Loading Dock (south side of building).

2.     5:45 AM to 6:45 AM on May 14, 2026, at UW Medical Center, 1959 NE Pacific Street, Seattle, WA 98195, AA Loading Dock (south side of building).

This will be the only opportunity for bidders to visit the Project site.  Bids received from bidders who did not attend one of the mandatory pre-bid site meetings will not be considered. Please note that access to the project site is restricted, no parking is allowed in the ED drop-off, Surgery Pavilion parking garage or the Triangle Garage.
