The Q Center provides reusable menstrual products to UW community members through their Menstruation Station. Students, faculty and staff can request sustainable and gender-inclusive menstrual products for free. This program allows community members to try reusable menstrual products, decreasing the amount of disposable menstrual products needed.
Menstruation Station aims to mitigate the impacts of the structures of oppression imposed on menstruating bodies with a focus on the needs of queer and trans folks who are often left out of menstruation discourse and care. The Q Center’s goal is to re-empower bleeding and alleviate the financial and emotional burdens experienced by people who menstruate by providing free menstrual products (both disposable and reusable) to those who need them.
This program has been supported with funding from the Campus Sustainability Fund.
