Description
The University is utilizing the public works contracting procedure authorized under chapter 39.04.290 RCW, Contracts for Building Engineering Systems. Pursuant to the statute, the proposal shall include a price for the design, the specifications, the fabrication, and the installation of the system. The proposal shall be based on information provided within this document. The project will be managed by UW Facilities, Project Delivery Group.
The project work will commence upon the selection and award of a contract. The contractor will prepare a schedule based on a construction completion date of not later than October 31, 2027.
The pre-proposal site walk meeting(s) will be held on April 6 & April 7 2026. Please meet at the entrance of the Bank of America Building to start the walk on April 6, 2026 at 12pm – 4pm, and we will walk the first half of the buildings. Please meet at entrance of the Fisheries Science building on April 7, 2026 at 11:00-3:00pm. A list of buildings by day will be attached to this RFP with scheduled times.
Bidders are encouraged to attend the informational meeting as the building is restricted. The visit will allow prospective bidders an opportunity to see the site and work conditions. Bidders are obligated to raise pertinent issues during the visit or by the due date and time for questions.
