Request For Bids - Critical Patient Care Roster A & B Only
Project Description: The project includes the following work: Interior alterations of approximately 238 SF on level one of the University of Washington Medical Center, Montlake campus, to build out a biosafety level 2 TRU Pathology Lab for Translational Research. The Contractor shall provide all renovations necessary to accommodate and support the new lab equipment in accordance with the supplier installation documents, project specifications, and project design documents. This will be a single-phase project. Infection Control will be required for the duration of work. Renovations include selective demolition and interior remodel within NW110, including new ACT ceiling, flooring, drywall, casework with stainless steel counter tops and finish work as required. Replacement of expansion joint covers (floor, wall, ceiling) and validation of existing conditions for code compliance. Work also includes localized modification to existing HVAC and plumbing. New plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, and electrical/telecom systems shall connect to and extend existing building systems. Plumbing scope includes demolition of abandoned plumbing and acid waste, install of new handwash sink, lab sink and eye wash. HVAC scope includes renovation of the systems serving room NW110, including ductwork, diffusers, fan coil unit, and all associated appurtenances. All new HVAC systems shall be integrated into the existing BMS.

Mandatory Pre-Bid Site Meeting: The Project site is available for inspection by prospective bidders at a mandatory pre-bid site meeting and walk-through. All prospective bidders must attend one of the following meetings:
- 10 a.m. on March 23, 2026, at UW Medical Center, 1959 NE Pacific Street, Seattle WA 98195, AA Loading Dock (south side of building).
- 10 a.m. on March 26, 2026, at UW Medical Center, 1959 NE Pacific Street, Seattle WA 98195, AA Loading Dock (south side of building).
These will be the only opportunities for bidders to visit the Project site. Bids received from bidders who did not attend one of the mandatory pre-bid site meetings will not be considered. Please note that access to the project site is restricted, no parking is allowed in the ED drop off, Surgery Pavilion parking garage or the Triangle Garage.
