A section of Pend Oreille Road NE at the east entrance to campus will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians from April 24 - May 1 for underground utility maintenance. The Burke Gilman Trail will remain open, with a detour to 25th Ave NE for pedestrians and cyclists. Cars, trucks and other vehicles must use the north or west entrance to campus. King County Metro buses will be rerouted.

Details: 

When/where: Pend Oreille Road NE will be closed between NE Mason Road and Pend Oreille Place NE from 6 a.m. Thursday, April 24 to 4 a.m. Friday, May 2. 

Transit impacts: King County Metro routes 45, 67, 75 and 372 will be rerouted. Sign up for service advisories from King County Metro to be notified when the route changes are posted.

Pedestrians & cyclists: The Burke Gilman Trail will remain open throughout the closure. A detour just north of the intersection with Pend Oreille Road will allow access to Pend Oreille Place NE and 25th Ave NE.

Drivers: Cars, trucks and other vehicles will need to enter and exit campus at either the north entrance, at Memorial Way NE and NE 45th St., or the west entrance, at W Stevens Way NE and 15th Ave NE.

Parking access: All parking lots in the area remain open, but drivers will need to enter campus from the north or west. Please allow extra time to access N12, N13-N15 (McMahon), N16-N21 (Padelford), N24 (Fluke), N25 and any of the C lots accessed from Mason Road.
