Overview
Previously, Partner Resources maintained an online catalog of job descriptions on the UW Facilities Portal for several UW Facilities departments. That site did not allow departments to upload their updated job descriptions to replace previous versions. The only way to update the document was to email the updated copy to someone in Partner Resources. Consequently, the site regularly contained outdated job descriptions.
In addition, when on boarding a new employee training requirements were only available in TMS. Since not everyone in UW Facilities has access to TMS, it was difficult to ensure that new hires completed the appropriate training. As a result, a second component of this site is a list of all job titles within UW Facilities and their associated training requirements.
Goals
- Centrally manage all UW Facilities job descriptions in one location.
- Ensure that representatives from each department have access to the site to update their job descriptions.
- Track changes to job descriptions over time and allow UW Facilities to seamlessly revert back to previous versions.
- Develop a standard job description template for use across UW Facilities.
How to use this site
You can view available job descriptions in the Job Descriptions section below or by clicking Job Descriptions on the left hand panel. From there you navigate the folders just as you would on your computer hard drive or shared drive (I and H).
The same is true for Position Training Requirements, there is a section at the bottom of this page with all of the training requirements that is sorted alphabetically. The training requirements can also be accessed through the left hand panel.
