A member of UW Facilities has once again been selected as one of the winners of the Together We Will award, honoring campus service across the UW. We asked Evalina and the others from UWF who were nominated (see below) to share their thoughts on working at the UW. Read what they had to say at the UWF blog.
Kudos also to the seven other UWF employees nominated for the award: Amanda Grace, Program Coordinator (RMO); Cesar Escobar, Systems Engineer (BIT); Ellen Perry, Gardener Lead (M&C); Liz Penttila, Organization Development Specialist (M&C); Matthew Johnson, Custodian (BSD); Mayes Battle, Custodian (BSD); William Russell Brown, Industrial Hygienist 2 (RMO)

Take a walk (or lead one!) during UW Walk Week Stroll into summer with UW Walk Week, this June 20-25. The goal is to walk 30 minutes each day and return to work or class feeling more focused and energized. Register for the event at The Whole U and then get walking, either on your own or with colleagues. Do you have a favorite campus route you'd like to share? Volunteer to lead a walk and get a Starbucks card and Whole U swag.
Resume help and mock interviews Practice makes perfect. The UW Facilities Training Center offers resume building assistance and can arrange mock interviews with feedback to help you improve your ability to communicate your accomplishments and showcase the skills you offer. Learn more at the training website.
COVID-19 booster shots Adults ages 50 and over and people who are immunocompromised are now eligible for a second booster shot. First booster shots are also still available! Get more information at the UW's COVID-19 vaccination page.
