TEAM SPOTLIGHT
On April 18, the Safety team hosted a PPE Open House at the UWF Training Center. The 150 UWF staff who stopped by got the chance to browse equipment and talk with 13 vendors and five campus partners — as well as enjoy a raffle, giveaways, activities and snacks. This open house was the first since the pandemic, and the Safety team plans to host an open house on a different safety topic each year.
"We really want everyone to walk away with safety foremost in their minds and with the knowledge that we care about them," said Chris Pennington with UWF. "We're doing this for you so that you can have what you need to do your job as safely as possible and go home the way you came."
PARTNER RESOURCES UPDATE
STEPPING STONES ALUMNI EMAIL LIST
Past participants of Stepping Stones for Success should look out for messages sent out to the alumni email list. Partner Resources is creating a plan based on feedback from graduates and is excited to use the list to share opportunities for continued learning, promotional pathways and other valuable resources. This initiative ensures alumni will stay connected and well-informed, helping them to further their careers and personal development.

PET OF THE MONTH
Shrimp
Owner: Alfonso Escobar, Maintenance Mechanic Lead, Shop 25
"I don't know how to swim. I have a friend who's a diver, and he told me about diving. When I watch the shrimp, I can imagine how nice it is when you’re diving. I want to learn to swim better, but if I cannot swim, I can just watch them. It’s another world."
