On Feb. 23, staff in Area G of the Building Services Department celebrated the opening of their new clock room in Mary Gates Hall, the result of a collaboration between Building Services, Campus Architecture & Planning and Maintenance & Construction.
The new space provides more room and is more central than their previous clock room. At the opening, manager Mike Nguyen said, "This is your time, this is your place… You guys work like a family, and I know that will continue."
PPE OPEN HOUSE ON APRIL 18
Prizes, snacks and your favorite vendors! On Thursday, April 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Facilities Training Center, nearly 20 vendors will display a wide variety of personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, footwear, hearing protection and more, for you to try on and find the best options for your work tasks.
There will be a raffle with prizes, snacks and drinks. Ask your supervisor about release time available to attend this event.

CHANGES TO 2FA Two-factor authorization (2FA) is how the UW verifies your identity on multiple devices when accessing UW websites, like Workday, and Duo is the system used for 2FA. Duo is updating the way 2FA looks when you sign in to increase security and make it easier to use. A key change you may notice is ‘duosecurity’ in the web address.
