Congratulations to the 2023 graduates of Stepping Stones for Success, UWF's leadership program! On the blog, some of this year's graduates reflect on job shadowing, a key part of the program giving participants the chance to see leadership in action.
The program will continue to break down silos as it opens UWF-wide to all non-supervisory staff in 2024. Read more details below.
UPDATES FROM PARTNER RESOURCES
Stepping Stones 2024 Applications are now available for Stepping Stones 2024! We are excited to offer this program UWF-wide in the coming year and are holding spots for all non-supervisory employees, including Project Managers, Program Coordinators and front-line staff.
The class will begin in late January or early February and end in November, and we expect to have two cohorts, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The curriculum includes a 2-hour weekly class, shadowing hours, workshops and a capstone project/presentation. Visit the Stepping Stones website for more information.
Applications are due by Jan. 5. Submit applications on the Stepping Stones website or email the PDF application to Sarah Lewis-Assink at sarahla1@uw.edu. Supervisors and managers will be notified of their employee’s application and be asked to submit a candidate evaluation, to be returned to Sarah by Jan. 8. Applications will be reviewed by a UWF-representative panel, and applicants will be notified of enrollment status by Jan. 16.

UWF records requests overview — Thank you! Every year, UWF receives many records requests from the Office of Public Records (OPR) and the Labor Relations Office (LRO), but this year there were more than usual. So far this year, we have received 132 OPR and 43 LRO requests, a 63% and 59% increase over 2022, respectively. For the OPR requests alone, 796 hours of staff time have been spent this year fulfilling the requests.
Partner Resources would to thank all the contributors who have worked so very hard on producing records on a timely basis. We recognize that this takes you away from your regular work duties and adds extra hours and more work to your already busy schedules. It is appreciated and thank you for keeping UWF in compliance.
