Shopping by appointment
In-person appointments are offered to members of priority groups (UW departments, nonprofit organizations and government agencies) shopping on behalf of their group. Curious about our current inventory? Feel free to call us at 206-685-1573 or email us at surplus@uw.edu prior to your arrival. You can also sign up for our newsletter for a preview of new items each week.
In-person appointment hours:
Thursdays: 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Let us know when you are coming. You may shop as long as you like within our business hours. Make a quick trip, or a long one!
UW Departments: Just looking for office supplies? Save yourself the trip! Select items can now be ordered online for delivery through Campus Mail. Simply fill out this form and Surplus staff will send the requested materials right to your office.
Please note: Designated buyers are not allowed to purchase items for their own personal use. If you wish to purchase items for personal use, you must shop during our Public Store hours or via our online storefront. If this is your first time as a Priority Group shopper, refer to the links above for more information about requirements for different types of organizations.
Purchasing policy
Property purchased by designated buyers must be for the expressed use of the Priority Group. You are considered a member of the public if you want to purchase an item for your own personal use. Please visit the UW Surplus store page for more information.
