Temporary paper cleanout toter

UW Recycling provides temporary mixed paper toters for performing large paper cleanouts. Mixed paper toters that do not have “Reserved” painted on them are your building’s permanent containers. Do not use your permanent containers for a cleanout.

Reservations

  • What you get: two 96-gallon green, mixed paper toters labeled "RESERVED."
  • Capacity: each toter holds the equivalent to approximately 10-12 Bankers Boxes of material.
  • Reservation period: the reservation is for one week and may be extended on a case-by-case basis.

Use

  • Toters can generally be delivered within 5 days of being requested or on a preferred date.
  • Discard only acceptable paper recycling in the toters.
  • Keep the toters in the cleanout area, rather than moving them around the building.

Full toter pickup

  • To ensure our crew has access, place toters outside of the room the day before the scheduled pickup date.

NetID is required to track requests or view invoices.

Invoices can be searched by driver worktag, billing month or invoice number. All charges are processed the month after service is completed. UW Recycling invoice numbers are in the memo field of every transaction from UW Recycling in Workday. For help accessing the report, contact recycle@uw.edu.
