Curb-Side Pick Up Available for UW Departments, Non-Profits & Government Agencies

UW Surplus continues to work with our University partners to take the necessary steps to protect and safeguard our community. Safety and well-being is our number one priority.

Starting Monday, June 29th, the UW Surplus Store will operate under temporary service adjustments to support sales to all priority groups (UW Departments, Non-Profits & Government Agencies) for curb-side pick-up.

How to Submit a Purchase Request:

E-mail surplus@uw.edu with your request. Please fill out the list below and copy and paste the information into the body of your email. Surplus Staff will look for your items and send you purchasing and pick-up directions. Thanks!

Priority Groups shopping on behalf of their groups may submit purchase requests. Employees shopping for themselves are considered members of the Public and may not purchase items at this time.

Deals! Deals! Deals! UW Surplus is pleased to offer a variety of compelling deals on equipment & machinery from the former UW Consolidated Laundry building. Auction listings close at staggered times throughout the evening of Thursday, April 30th.

BACKGROUND INFO: This equipment is located in the University of Washington Consolidated Laundry Building, 2901 27th Avenue South, Seattle, Washington, 98144, near the Mount Baker light rail station. The facility permanently closed at the end of March, 2019

AUCTION PREVIEW & INSPECTION:: The equipment will be available for inspection BY APPOINTMENT ONLY at the University of Washington Consolidated Laundry Building, 2901 27th Avenue South, Seattle, Washington, 98144. Equipment may be inspected between the hours of 9:00am to 3:00pm PT, Tuesday, April 28th. Appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Appointments for inspection may be scheduled with Emmanuel Okoye, okoyee@uw.edu / 206-605-9552.

UW Surplus continues to work with our University partners to take the necessary steps to protect and safeguard our community. Safety and well-being is our number one priority.

Starting Thursday, July 9th, the UW Surplus Store will operate under temporary service adjustments to support sales to all priority groups by appointment only (UW Departments, Non-Profits & Government Agencies). Appointments are offered in time blocks of 30 or 60 minutes and may be canceled if necessary. Customers who arrive at the Surplus warehouse without an appointment will be asked to wait if we are serving a client who has scheduled in advance. Wearing face coverings and maintaining 6 feet of space between yourself & others is expected of all visitors to the Surplus warehouse.

New Store Hours for Priority Groups:
Monday: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, by appointment (face covering required)
Thursday: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, by appointment (face covering required)

Face coverings or masks are required indoors for all employees, students, and guests on UW campuses.

Priority Groups: Book a 30 Minute Appointment HERE.

The 30 Minute Visit is ideal if you are just picking up one or two things or have a good idea of what you’re looking for. Masks are required. We are looking forward to seeing you!

Priority Groups: Book a 1 Hour Appointment HERE.

The 1 hour Visit is perfect if you are picking up multiple items or need a little more time to browse for an item with that je ne sais quoi. Masks are required. We are looking forward to seeing you!
