Faculty and staff requiring long-term disability accommodations must contact the Disability Services Office at 206-543-6450. If you already have a state disability placard present it along with the accompanying confirmation letter to the Disability Services Office when making your request. You will be issued a short-term disability parking permit at Transportation Services while your request for accommodation is being reviewed.

Temporary disability parking
Parking accommodations for faculty, staff or students with temporary disabilities are issued upon request at Transportation Services. Parking permits for disabled areas cost the same as other UW parking areas. For prices, visit our rates page.
Dial-A-Ride is available to faculty, staff and students who have either permanent or temporary mobility limitations. The shuttles operate on campus and in the University District. To determine if you are eligible for this service visit our Dial-A-Ride webpage.

Disability parking for visitors
Ask for disability parking and building access information at any gatehouse. A parking stall will be assigned as close to your destination as possible. Gatehouses are staffed weekdays from 6 a.m. - 9 p.m. and on Saturdays from 7 a.m. until noon. Visitor parking is available in the Central Plaza Garage which can be entered from 15th Ave NE at NE 41st St. Download a wayfinding map for this garage. Parking permits for disabled and wheelchair areas cost the same as other UW parking areas.
Disability parking additional information
UW Seattle campus disability permits are assigned for use in a specific parking lot. UW Seattle campus disability permits are valid in any disability stall or other available general stalls in the assigned parking area.
Wheelchair (WC) disability permits holders may park in any wheelchair or disability stall. Holders of Disability (D) Permits may park in disability areas but not in wheelchair stalls. Wheelchair and Disability permit holders may also park in other available general stalls in their assigned parking area.

UWMC disability parking
Oversized vehicles (up to 7’5”) may park in the South Campus Garage (S1). UWMC patients or visitors must purchase a parking permit at a campus gatehouse prior to parking in S1. The permit must be displayed on the dashboard and visible from outside the vehicle.
Parking procedures are different in the Triangle and Surgery Pavilion Garages, which are managed by the medical center. The hospital’s parking validation program is available to all UWMC patients and visitors, disabled or not. For more information about these garages, visit the UWMC parking page.
