The Quad's Yoshino cherry trees may draw thousands to campus, but they are just one of the jewels that make up the campus tree canopy. Take a tour of other notable trees, from most interesting to most historic, with UWF gardener Theo Hoss, who leads monthly tours of UW trees.
FINANCIAL SUSTAINABILITY & UWF
Potential changes in federal or state funding may have an impact on the budget for UW and UWF. Starting Feb. 20, UWF interim Vice President Rod Worden has sent regular updates on this topic to all UWF staff. Find an archive of all UWF messages and a round-up of support resources from UW HR.
SAVE THE DATE
The UWF Safety Open House is on Wednesday, April 30. Win prizes and visit your favorite vendors from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Facilities Training Center. Release time is available for this event.
TEAM SPOTLIGHT
In January, Transportation Services completed safety improvements and other upgrades for the Central Parking Garage. These included the installation of roll-up doors, securing entry to buildings that touch the garage, improving ADA access, adding wifi and enhancing the surveillance system.
As part of this yearlong effort, Transportation Services staff worked in collaboration with teams inside UWF, such as the Project Delivery Group and CAAMS, and outside UWF, such as Campus Community Safety and building coordinators.

"Life in our house is a full-fledged Bernese Mountain Dog amusement park! With six furry family members, each with their own hilarious quirks, there's never a dull moment. Life with six big, goofy, lovable 'lap dogs' might be a bit chaotic, but it’s also filled with endless love, laughter and a whole lot of fur (just ask the Roomba!)."
